One of the great things about music is the ability to bring people together.  Over the last several years, Raised on Rock has been fortunate to pair up with some fabulous charities and individuals to make a difference in their local community!

Fallen Riders Memorial Fund

Raised on Rock has performed at the Fallen Riders Memorial Poker Run in the Summer of 2011, 2012,  2013 and are scheduled for 2014. Raised on Rock was chosen by this organization because of Pam's beautiful rendition of Steelheart's "Never Let You Go", which has become an unofficial theme song for the Fallen Riders.  In addition to the Poker Run, the Fallen Riders hold "Nights Out" fundraisers throughout the year, in which Raised on Rock has performed on several occasions.

The Fallen Riders Memorial Fund is a 501c 3 Charity set up to provide financial assistance to families who have lost loved ones as a result of a motorcycle accident. Raised on Rock has attended several check presentations to the families of Fallen Riders and always walk away with a great appreciation for what this organization does.  If you are unable to make it to one of their events, but would like to make a donation, please visit their website.

The Big Beat & Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation

In 2011, Raised on Rock collected donations at their shows leading up to the Big Beat, in which Stormin Norman participated with his 7 yr old daughter.  In 2012 and 2013, Raised on Rock was asked to be the host band for the event.  It was a great success as over 80 drummers of all ages played along in unison with the bands for 6 songs.
Over the years, The Big Beat/Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation has raised close to $50,000.  The money stays right here in the Greater Cleveland area to supply percussion instruments for local schools. Previous recipients include; Cleveland All City Drumline, Willowick Middle School; Ashtabula Lakeside High School; Painesville Heritage Middle School; and Geneva High School.  Hosted by Stebal Drums, The Big Beat is typically held in late October/early November, but donations are accepted year round via the website.

Cleveland Musicians Care

Formed by local musicians in the Fall of 2012, this charity consists of Cleveland area musicians who seek to make a positive contribution to their community through various fundraising events.  For their first project, they developed a calendar of local musicians for 2013, in which the proceeds went to the Autism Society of Greater Cleveland.  Raised on Rock's Stormin Norman was voted by his peers to be in the calendar.  You can see him in the Men's calendar for the month of March!

Eaglefest is an event held in Geneva during the summer to raise funds for the local little leagues and midget football teams.  The first annual event occurred in 2012 and was a success.

In 2012 and 2013, Raised on Rock headlined the second day of the two day event. A great time was had by all and many local children in Geneva benefited from the event.  Please sure to like them on Facebook, so you get all the details for 2014!!
